Chilterns AoNB Gravel Loop by LondonGravel.CC

Princes Risborough Princes Risborough

Yet another great LGCC gravel ride in the Chilterns AoNB, easily accessible from central London by train or car!   Lots of tracks and byways, so very suitable for a group ride. Should give you guys a flavour of the area. This one has chalky tracks from the Iron Age, loamy woodland singletrack, old railway lines, quaint villages and some technical bits too. Tubeless tyres strongly recommended as the hedges have been flailed recently.   Distance: 75km Elevation: 780m Terrain: Off road Difficulty: 3/5 Machine required: Gravel/cyclocross/MTB Route: https://www.komoot.com/tour/342816342 https://www.strava.com/routes/2817515604982259176 Join the chat on WhatsApp to be in touch: http://bit.ly/3vrs1o4 The ride is FREE to all group members, as are all other LGCC rides. The Ride with No Name MTB (MTB/Gravel)

The Pub with No Name Priors Dean, Petersfield, Hampshire

The ultimate pub ride, the Ride with No Name may be the biggest 30km ride you’ll take on this year! The ultimate early evening ride, starting and finishing at one of Hampshire’s finest pubs, it features a massive 1,000m of climbing and descending in a relentless but little known pocket of hills called the Hangers. This is a short ride with a big punch in one of the most beautiful hidden corners of the countryside that you’ve (probably) never heard of! As if that wasn’t enough, the ride is based from (and named for) the local legend that is The Pub with No Name, one of the very best country pubs you’ll find, where you can enjoy a wide selection of excellent beers, and delicious home cooked food after your ride!

2021 Gritopia

TweedLove Bike Festival Tweed Green, Peebles, Scoltand

Welcome to Gritopia our grit, gravel (or whatever you want to call it) adventure. Gritopia will take you on a journey to many new places in the valley hinterland, leaving the traffic far behind and often far below you. Expect mile after mile of empty grit and gravel with a few stretches of quiet tarmac linking it all up. For 2021 there will be two course lengths to choose from. Any suitable bike will do. A dedicated gravel bike is perfect but a mountain bike will be fine too. Oh, and brand new for 2021 – eBikes are welcome! We do however recommend leaving the road bikes at home, they’ll be a tad uncomfortable and the gearing might by unhelpful in places! “My 1st gravel event; Excellent route, challenging ride, stunning scenery. It was a great day on the bike!” […]

Badlands Gravelcross

Princes Risborough School Merton Rd, Princes Risborough

The Chiltern Hills are a near perfect mix of roads tracks and trails for CX/gravel riding, and the Badlands Gravelcross spins out it’s route to explore some of the darker, grittier folds of this deceptively demanding range of hills. The densely folded and wooded hills conceal a network of lanes, tracks and trails the wind and climb and fall continuously. It’s a surprisingly harsh corner of the home counties; where the crumbling tarmac on the back roads can prove perilous for skinny road bikes, but where CX or gravel bikes come into their own. It’s an MTB friendly ride too - 29ers and 27.5in hardtails will eat up the miles on the dirt, and the constantly switching surface provides an entertaining ride and acts as a great leveller between the variety of bikes on the route.
