The scenic and challenging course through the Chiltern Hills climbs, descends and flows through the heart of English countryside in full Spring bloom! Full support from our team lets you concentrate on the riding. We'll give you comprehensive route marking to follow, maps and GPS files, feed & support stations, support vehicle back up, rider timing, catering, finishers medals and more!

Wales Dirt Dash

The Wales Dirt Dash is a self-supported bikepacking event in the historic county of Brecknockshire (Breconshire) in Wales, split over two days with an overnight camp, starting and finishing at Tafarn Y Bont Pub in the picturesque village of Govilon near Abergavenny. This is the perfect way to experience the rugged beauty of Wales with off-road cycling, camaraderie and camping (and maybe castles). The Wales Dirt Dash is organised by the crew behind the Dunoon and Dorset Dirt Dashes. RIDE OVERVIEW These hills are famed for some of the finest off road riding in the south and for good reason, the trails and byways are rarely flat but always scenic. This technical course will have you chasing the north downs ridge taking in a mix of bridleway, single track, gravel road and occasional tarmac. DISTANCE: 62KM | ELEVATION: 1066M RIDE DIFFICULTY 3/5 TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY 3/5 PERCENTAGE OF ROUTE OFF ROAD 81% Bike & Tyre Choice: The route has a real mix of terrain and the weather will make a big difference to conditions. If it’s wet, the mud will be slippy. If dry, the sand will be hard. Gravel bikes are preferred as the right mix but mountain bikes will be fine for most of the route. It is not suited to road bikes. Enjoy a spectacular Spring outing across the Surrey Heaths and out to the Devils Punchbowl! Based in the tiny village of Shackleford, near Guildford, this is an accessible event with easy access from the A3, but also perfectly placed to get you right out into the countryside of the Surrey heathland! We’ve put together a fast and furious course, with an entertaining variety of trails, from the unique challenges of the greensand heaths to the unexpected gnarl of the Punchbowl descents! There’s a bewildering network of trails around here, but we’ve used our local knowledge and experience of the area to pick out the very best spring circuit – all you have to do is ride and enjoy!

Part of the Battle in the Bowl Super CX weekend, Battle Gravel 100 is an open hill challenge with timed stages on the private Battle in Bowl race circuit! The event takes you on a fantastic 100km (or 66 or 33km) open hill ride on the South Downs; starting, finishing on and passing through the Battle in the Bowl race circuit as you take on one, two or three laps of the 33km course! Choose the Gravel Race category and race those timed stages for podium places and prizes, or go for the Gravel Challenge category if you just want to take on the hills without the race element!

Hosted within Matterley Bowl near Winchester, the Battle in the Bowl features two hour races over a stunning four mile circuit, featuring flat-out fast gravel tracks, a breathtaking grass track climb around the rim of the bowl itself, a flying wooded descent back to the arena and over a mile of taped, technical classic ‘cross! 90% of the circuit will be viewable from the massive arena, making Battle in the Bowl a visually inspiring experience for racers and spectators alike! 2021: Keswick Mountain Festival challenges off-road cyclists with new gravel event

Keswick Mountain Festival has announced details of a new gravel cycling event for 2021. The DexShell Hell in the Fells will see riders tackle 72km of challenging ascents and descents on gravel routes in the North Lakes. Designed for riders of all abilities, the latest addition to the festival’s comprehensive outdoor sports programme will also be open to e-bikes. DexShell Hell in the Fells is scheduled to take place on Sunday 23 May and entries are open now.
