The Naughty Frontier

Northumberland National Park Clennel Farm

It’s Naughty, but not as you know it. After the success of the Naughty Northumbrian Enduro, it seemed only fitting to pay homage to the remote, beautiful and rugged terrain of the North by launching our new event, The Naughty Frontier. Taking in 40 “Northumbrian miles” this challenging route will reward a spirit of adventure with stunning views, breath taking summits and of course, the option of a cool Wylam Brewery pint when you make it back to base. Taking you up to the England - Scotland border, and through the heart of the Northumbrian National Park, this event is open to all and everyone of a reasonable fitness - In a true “run what ya brung” ethos, all bikes are welcome though it’s best suited to Gravel and XC bikes. Long climbs will be followed by fast, grin-inducing descents […]

FIFTY50 : A cycling event with a difference

Cafe Adventure Hannah Buildings, Edale Road, Hope, Hope Valley

Fifty50 by Velotastic The Fifty50 is an unsupported, unmarshalled adventure, exploring the quiet roads, byways and bridleways in the Hope Valley and surrounding area. With around 60 km of riding, the event is based on the reliability ride format, where not speed, but the ability to successfully complete an un-signed pre-determined route within the 6 hour time limit is the aim. The event is the similar in concept to our previous events. However this time we've added a little bit of a twist. Instead of us sending you a file for the route a few days before the event, when you arrive at the start you'll get a sealed envelope. Inside the envelope is a route map to a checkpoint that's roughly half way around the route. At the checkpoint you'll receive the other half of the route. Here's the […]

2020 Yorkshire Dales 300 or 200 ITT event

Riders Cycle Centre ltd Gate & Unit 3. Sidings Business Park, Skipton, North Yorkshire

The YD200 for 2020 will be a 200-mile road event within the stunning Yorkshire Dales. This epic road ride can either be an exhausting non-stop effort or a more relaxed if 17,000ft of climbing can be called relaxed, two-day effort. Bike pack your ride or plan a B&B. I’ll leave that up to you. The route takes in many classic Dales climbs, views and vistas and passes through some beautiful villages, tourist attractions and resupply points. For those who require a little more info please scan the rest of this webpage. The YD200 2020 ride will be a road ride. Your weapon of choice is your choice but I would recommend a road bike. A gravel bike is cool and a 29er Mtb will suffice but best done with some slicks. Grab some frame bags from Wildcat because your gonna […]

TWEEDLOVE GRITOPIA 2020

TweedLove Bike Festival Tweed Green, Peebles, Scoltand

Bergamont Gritopia 2019 from TweedLove Bike Festival on Vimeo.   Gritopia will take you on a journey to many new places in the valley hinterland, leaving the traffic far behind and often far below you. Expect mile after mile of empty grit and gravel with a few stretches of quiet tarmac linking it all up. There will be two course lengths; The Long One | approx. 75km The Short(er) One | approx. 45km All you need to do is pick one of them… you can do this nearer the time – no need to decided just yet. Any suitable bike will do. A dedicated gravel bike is perfect but a mountain bike will be fine too. We do however recommend leaving the road bikes at home, they’ll be a tad uncomfortable and the gearing might by unhelpful in places! What […]
