A cycling event with a difference 11th October 2020Fifty50 by VelotasticThe Fifty50 is an unsupported, unmarshalled adventure, exploring the quiet roads, byways and bridleways in the Hope Valley and surrounding area.With around 60 km of riding, the event is based on the reliability ride format, where not speed, but the ability to successfully complete an un-signed pre-determined route within the 6 hour time limit is the aim.The event is the similar in concept to our previous events. However this time we've added a little bit of a twist. Instead of us sending you a file for the route a few days before the event, when you arrive at the start you'll get a sealed envelope.Inside the envelope is a route map to a checkpoint that's roughly half way around the route. The Brutal Tootle - What's that then ?The Brutal Tootle is an unsupported, unmarshalled adventure on the quiet roads, byways and bridleways of the Peak District National Park.First succesfully run in 2018, the event is back with a bang for 2020. The route is a combo platter of tough climbs, techincal descents and scenery to die for. We've changed the course slightly from the first edition to make the it even more fun.With over 100 km and 2000 metres of ascent, the event is based on the reliability ride format, where not speed, but the ability to successfully complete the course before the event HQ closes at five.Our aim is to get riders to think for themselves and not only test their riding skills but their ability to navigate a course.The route is suitable

GRAVEL GRAN FONDUE 2020
An unsupported two day gravel ride in the stunning Derbyshire countryside Gravel Gran Fondue - What's that then ?The Gravel Gran Fondue is an unsupported, unmarshalled adventure on the quiet roads, byways and bridleways of the Peak District National Park.Riders have the choice of riding both or either of the days – there is one entry but the choice of how much you ride is entirely up to you.Day one heads out from the edge of Bakewell and explores some of the areas many bridleways, byways and quiet roads and finishes at the village of Hartington. The approximate distance is 100 km.It is up to riders to arrange their overnight accommodation in Hartington. We all have different expectations and budgets about where we want to spend the night – this way we can keep the costs down and you can stay
